Welcome back to our local businesses series!

Today marks the third installment of these posts, and it has honestly become one of the highlights of our week. Researching local businesses and shouting about how great they are is so enjoyable, it keeps us feeling connected to our Fine City, even in lockdown.

So, without further of ado, let’s meet today’s five picks …

(Again, we want to reiterate that this information is accurate to the best of our knowledge, but we advise that you check with each business individually for confirmation.)

1.The Green Grocers (“More than a green grocers”)

Now, ‘The Green Grocers’ is a bit of an understatement when you browse through the myriad of products that this store offers. From sweet treats, to veg, to baked goods, to cheese, to alcohol, the list never ends. Better still, they offer FREE home delivery to postcodes within NR1-NR8 (contact them regarding other areas). Of course, products may be subject to availablity at the momnet, so it’s best to contact them directly.

Call them on 01603250000 or email on eat@thegreengrocers.co.uk http://www.thegreengrocers.co.uk/

P.S. They also do pizza delivery!

2. ZENMUMA (Yoga)

There are so many online classes flying around at the moment. But we wanted to bring your attention to ZENMUMA. They are running interactive antenatal classes, hypnobirthing, meditations for pregnancy and birth, baby yoga videos, as well as FREE yoga classes every Tuesday.

Basically, Jackie is the person to go to for support with pregnancy, babies, and children if you’re needing a bit of ‘Zen’.

Check out their website: https://www.zenmuma.co.uk/ and follow them on socials @zenmuma

3. Teles Patisserie (Pastries and baked goods)

Who doesn’t need a yummy croissant at the moment? We know that it would definitely brighten our day!

Teles Patisserie is open for delivery (free within a 5-mile radius). They can deliver their soup of the day, light meals, croissants (!), bread rolls, birthday cakes, and plenty more delicious treats.

4. Goodery (Groceries)

Goodery are actually a new local business that run a weekly fruit & veg box subscription, as well as wholefood essentials boxes and more. I’m sure we could all benefit from having some items of our foodshop delivered to our door, especially those who are shielding or considered vulnerable.

All of the information you need is on their website: https://goodery.co.uk/

Come on, how good do all of these colourful vegetables look!

5. Brick (Pizza)

Last, but by no means least, Brick pizza are still making pizzas. They are now offering a contactless delivery service, seven days a week, from 5pm – 10pm.

You can order their delicious fresh pizzas via JustEat or Deliveroo, AND you can order their frozen pizzas via their app, which can be found in the Apple app store or Google Play store.

So tempting!
