As we all know, a lot of local businesses are going through a difficult time at the moment. Although we may not be able to visit restaurants or market stalls, many of these businesses have started offering new services, such as takeaway deliveries, or parcels to collect. Here at Melanie Estates, we want to support our local community as much as possible. Therefore we are starting a small blog series...

As we all know, a lot of local businesses are going through a difficult time at the moment. Although we may not be able to visit restaurants or market stalls, many of these businesses have started offering new services, such as takeaway deliveries, or parcels to collect.

Here at Melanie Estates, we want to support our local community as much as possible. Therefore we are starting a small blog series called “Let’s Support Local Businesses” where we will share the details of services that may be of interest to our readers.

Even if you are unable to purchase from these sellers at the moment, a small like or share of their social media accounts might help to encourage some new business.

1. Harvey’s Butchers (Meat and Game)

Harveys butchers has been providing meat and game to East Anglia since 1924. They are selling meat boxes for delivery or collection with FREE delivery in Norfolk if you spend over £50.

2. HarperWells (Wine)

With a lot of the big-chain companies struggling with demand, we should be profiting from fabulous independent businesses like HarperWells.

3. Bookbugs and Dragontales (Books and Puzzles)

This lovely shop has books, bookpacks and puzzles for children and adults. If you didn’t manage to stock up on entertainment resources for yourself or the children, they’ve got you sorted!

4. Love of Pets (Pet supplies)

Support an independent pet supplies store for your furry friend’s needs.

You can order via telephone or their Facebook page and they can deliver to your door. The minimum order is £10 with Free delivery within Norwich Ring Road and £5 elsewhere (Mileage Limits apply please ask) or £15+ minimum order with Free delivery to elsewhere.

5. Linzers Bakery (Bread, cakes, etc.)

This lovely wholesale bakery is now offering services for the public. Orders over £15 can be delivered free WITHIN 5 MILE RADIUS (of NR3 2FA). Minimum order for collection is £10.
